Viiiiibes brrro! I love them!
But I don't necessarily think all vibes are good vibes... brooo (okay, I'm gonna stop).
One of my best friends pointed out to me one day that the cup is neither half empty or half full, it just is. I feel the same way about vibrations. Some may have feelings of love and others of deep roots and some can even feel creepy or make you feel sad. Regardless, they're just a part of life, good or bad. Whatever you want to call the feeling you associate with the vibration, it is only you that's doing the labeling. It's just an experience, a relation to something else.
Also, vibrations can easily change, so why label something, if in the next minute, it could be a completely different frequency.
The resonance stuff really fascinated me. I love learning about frequencies and what they do when they collide with one another. Even the noise cancellation ear phones Larry was talking about blew my mind. I want to know so much more. I wonder how it relates to our connections with other people and things. What parts of us resonate with that other person and do those frequencies have something to do with how we relate and attract ourselves to others?
Energy and Qi are slightly related, in that energy is a part of the concept of Qi. Qi is more. It's life force, life "energy". But it includes deeper associations then energy. It is a part of you and your essence and all of life's essence.

Biology Week 6: The Nature of Life
I remember when I was little having empathy for inanimate things. The ground, rocks, my stuffed animals, even a table or the wall. It concerned me on a deep level that no one else was seeing it. I'm not sure when "I grew out of that", but now that I'm talking about it, I think deep down, I still feel that way. I would have to say that to me, there is no difference between living and non-living systems. All of this is one living system.
I really don't know how to answer this question, I mean of course the DNA of humans across boarders is the same. I don't know why we would think otherwise. And yeah, of course society determines race. I don't really know what this article was trying to tell me as a reader.
Racial differences are an enormous truth in this world, and at this point I would hope that most of us know it's not on a biological tip, it's what society and power and greed and fear has done. But saying that it doesn't exist can be extremely detrimental. Some people might find it easier to say it doesn't exist to them, but that's trying to throw away something that has shaped the way of the world. It's negating millions of people that have suffered and are suffering on a daily basis because of their skin color, so please believe, that shit is real.

Physics Week 5: Symmetry and Sacred Geometry
My (a)symmetrical world... I live in a pretty asymmetrical world, both with habits I have that may be unbalanced and with the world I view around me. But I think exact symmetry is more just a symbol of what is, rather than what truly is. Everything, from the way a tree grows, to the way a baby lays in the womb, to music theory, to the way our eyes see, is geometrical and symmetrical in theory, but when it comes down to it, in reality, all people and things are "flawed". Nothing is symmetrical. Life doesn't work in that way, although, in theory, we run on symmetry and are constantly striving for such.
CP Violation (standing for Charge Parity) is a violation of the theory CP-symmetry in which a particle and it's antiparticle should be in perfect mirror image symmetry of one another. This discovery showed that weak interactions violate not only the charge-conjugation symmetry C between particles and antiparticles and the P or parity, but also their combination.
There are many connections between Sacred Geometry and Physics. Sacred Geometry is one way to look at physics in a pictorial way. I think it's an incredible view into the world of Physics and can really help people to see the beauty of the way this world works.

Biology Week 4: The Pattern of Life
The way humans have viewed animal intelligence is always changing, I suppose. In the past, or in other cultures, animals have been treated anywhere from forms of God/Gods to nothing more than something that is below par to a human. I've always known that animals have a keen sense of awareness and an intelligence that humans cannot quantify, but it was really mind blowing to me that even amoebas "which are supposed to have no brain at all, have social skills. Amoebas have been shown to sacrifice themselves for other amoebas, especially if closely related." This makes me rethink a lot about life on this planet and how I treat other creatures.
Physics Week Four: Energy, Matter and Force
E=MC2 is always affecting my life, because of the sun and its energy. The sun converts 4 Hydrogen atoms into a Helium atom and in this fusion a little bit of matter doesn't fuse into the Helium. This matter is converted to energy. A very strong energy, which actually is how this Earth has life on it at all.
The 4 Four Fundamental Forces
Gravity, the weakest of the four forces, but is the one we recognize on a daily basis. It's what keeps us physically on this planet. Newton described it as "Every object in the Universe attracts every other object with a force directed along the line of centers for the two objects that is proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the separation between the two objects."
Electromagnetic Force has to do with the attraction or repulsion of positive and negative charges. This is the attraction that keeps atoms together.
Weak Nuclear Force is the force responsible for radioactive decay and is said to be capable of transforming neutrons into protons and vice-versa.
Strong Nuclear Force, which is the strongest of the four forces is the glue that keeps the protons and neutrons confined to the nucleus.
The function of gravity, we may never know, but I find it interesting that at different spots on earth, there are different fields of gravity. Or different strengths on the objects in that area. I think I am very sensitive to gravity and pulls it has on the water in my body. I wonder how I would be affected by living in different areas on Earth.

Biology Week Three: Genetic Evolution
"“99.4% of the most critical DNA sites are identical in human and chimp genes"
It doesn't surprise me that we are connected that closely with another animal through the lens of our DNA. What was interesting to me about this article was how important our use of language is. If we reclassify an animal then we're changing its rights? Even though nothing has actually changed about the animal. It's just a change in how we're choosing to label and classify this animal. Language has always tripped me out but when it is used as a means of control and exclusion/inclusion it becomes so skewed and can almost seem like complete nonsense. Some one else in class also brought up the point that it's pretty disgusting how once we label something to be "more human" then we all of a sudden will treat them better? Yikes. Also, we aren't even treating most humans right let alone monkeys and other animals who aren't in our specific scientific classification. Yikes to it all, really. I also find it odd that somehow we can now validate our connection to another animal because of how we are related through our DNA. What about all the other ways we are related and connected? Like through the planet, and through energy, and experience, and life?
Learning about prokaryotes and Eukaryotes is fun. I'm very interested in bacteria and viruses too. In this day we are definitely facing the "side effects" of the use of antibiotics and who knows where it's going to go from here.
On the topic of today's discussions, is anyone as scared as I am for the backlash we may face from meat made from genetically engineered DNA and printers? I don't think I'm ready for this world people!

Humans thought that antibiotics would end infectious diseases, but the overuse of drugs has resulted in the selection of drug resistant bacteria. They didn't realize that this was only the first battle, and now the war is ready to begin.
- Humans think this is their era. A more truthful statement would be that we all live in the age of bacteria.

Physics Week Three: Synchronicity
Wow. I really liked this weeks class. I can't stop thinking about all
the different fragments of concepts we learned. It almost felt like a
form of church for me at times because there was something so
spiritually uplifting to learn about the concept of quantum
entanglement. I'm sure this theory is no where near the "truth" of the
universe and/or life, but none the less, it's something scientists have
noticed, therefore it is a truth... and it's contradictory to other ways Westerners' have looked at the world.
Amen! We need people to expand their minds! Just thinking of my very
western atheist brother-n-law explaining something like synchronicity
and connectivity makes me so happy. Even though he's viewing it in a
completely different manner than I am, he's acknowledging a concept very
skewed from the way he usually looks at things.
Synchronicity is constantly coming up in my life, every day. And to think about this happening on a quantum level is so beautiful!!! The fact that two electrons can stay connected forever, as far a distant we could think, and still be connected!?! This brings such a comforting feeling to me and almost gets me choked up. We are all forever connected and time and space can't really take that away. WOW.
"It was a principle that Jung felt gave conclusive evidence for his concepts of archetypes and the collective unconscious in that it was descriptive of a governing dynamic that underlies the whole of human experience and history – social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual."
The thing is, why do we need to label these concepts or feel the need to box up ideas into what "the truth" is. I obviously love learning about these concepts, but at the same time no one will ever really know. And why should we? Is that really the point of experience? Also, although someone put this concept to words and are testing it, a lot of us know this already because we experience it! None the less, it's nice to try and wrap my head around some of the ideas of synchronicity and connectivity.
